Olivarez, PMMS blast foes.

Philippine Merchant Marine School and Olivarez College rolled past separate rivals to continue their winning ways yesterday in the resumption of the 21st National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA) men's basketball tournament at the Rizal Technological University gym in Mandaluyong.

The Mariners banked on a decisive second quarter run to crush undermanned Emilio Aguinaldo College-Cavite, 77-47, while the Sea Lions pummeled Philippine School of Business Administration, 90-75.

Both teams posted their fourth win in five games, allowing them to stay behind league-leader St Clare College, which carries a perfect 5-0 record.

Jess Quilatan and Dan Reverente scored 12 points apiece for PMMS, which bounced back from a 70-60 loss to St. Clare last Dec. 17.
