Official helped lift threat to car wardens.
A STORMONT official had to negotiate to get a threat against traffic wardens lifted, it has emerged.
The Department for Infrastructure employee and a representative of traffic enforcement firm NSL met with a mediation service provider following an incident in West Belfast.
Sources said a traffic warden was approached in the area around the Falls and Grosvenor roads a number of weeks ago and threatened.
It is understood NSL staff then pulled out of the area.
In an unrelated incident police are investigating a report of a car being driven at two traffic wardens in the Samuel Street area of Belfast city centre after a parking ticket was issued last Friday.
The Mirror attempted to contact NSL for comment.
