Official Urges Iranian Nation to Keep Vigilant against Western Plots.

Summary: TEHRAN (FNA)- A senior Iranian official called on the people to keep vigilant against the conspiracies and plots hatched by the enemies to disunite the Muslim Iranian nation.

All should exercise vigilance in dealing with the complicated plots of the ill-wishers and enemies, Iranian President's Chief of Staff Seyed Hassan Moussavi said on Sunday, adding that the global arrogance spares no efforts to prepare various anti-Iran scenarios.

All crises in the previous years were successfully resolved under the wise guidelines of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, he added.

In January, Ayatollah Khamenei warned that enemies have hatched plots to hinder mass-participation of the Iranian nation in the upcoming presidential election.

In September, the Iranian interior ministry announced that the country will hold the next presidential election on June 14, 2013.

Also in December, the ministry said that it has a close watch on all activities related to the upcoming presidential election throughout the country.

"We are monitoring (election) activities in all provinces and it is our routine mission," Deputy Interior Minister for Security and Law Enforcement Affairs Ali Abdollahi told FNA at the time.

"No security problem has so far been reported to us regarding the 2013 presidential election," he noted.
