Offer special prayers for success of freedom struggle: Salahuddin.

SRINAGAR, August 02, 2011 (Balochistan Times): United Jihad Council chairman and Hizb-ul-Mujahideen chief, Syed Salah-ud-Din has appealed people to help out needy brethren who were affected by the conflict. He said that during the month of Ramadan Kashmiris must pray for the success of the freedom struggle. People must help those who have been affected by the continuing conflict. I also appeal to the people to hold special prayers for the people who were killed in the conflict, Salahuddin said in a statement. The UJC chief appealed the people not to forget those families who sacrificed their sons and fathers for Kashmir cause. We should not forget those families whose sons were tortured and killed by the security forces. The families must be taken proper care and provided humanitarian assistance, he said. Meanwhile, in a media interview, Syed Salahuddin has stressed for holding of meaningful and result-oriented tripartite dialogue to settle the Kashmir dispute. He said that revocation of the draconian laws, Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) and Public Safety Act (PSA), release of all illegally detained Kashmiri Hurriyet leaders and activists, withdrawal of troops from the occupied territory and Indias acceptance Kashmir as a dispute could become basis for dialogue process. He said that the New Delhi was never sincere in dialogue on Kashmir and the history of last six decades was witness to it. India is neither sincere not serious, but wants to continue with status quo. In the name of Confidence Building Measures (CBM), some steps are being taken. We are not against trade and travel across the Line of Control (LoC) but such CBMs are not solution of the dispute. India is trying to hide atrocities of its troops in occupied Kashmir in the garb of talks, he added. On Dr Ghulam Nabi Fais arrest in the United States, he said, It shows double standard of the US towards Kashmir. NNI
