Off to land of opportunity.

A FIRST class Teesside law graduate has swapped Eaglescliffe for a life of luxury in the Middle East.

Rachael Janes, 22, graduated from Teesside University with a first class LLB (Hons).

Her interest in a legal career developed while at school and after working as a junior secretary with Stockton law firm Dickinson Dees.

After rising to the position of legal assistant, she has now swapped her legal career for that of an executive assistant to the general manager at Qatar's Ritz-Carlton Sharq Village and Spa five-star hotel in Doha. The change in career came after Rachael literally followed her heart.

She said: "My fiance Ian was offered a job in the Middle East and this led me to consider my options. It is a fantastic opportunity."
