Robert T. Maleeny, founder and president of Flavor & Fragrance Specialties, died in January. Maleeny created the company in 1983 and led the management team that has built FFS into one of the most respected firms in the industry today.

Robert Maleeny worked in the flavor and fragrance industry since 1953. He was a former president of NAFFS, a board member of FEMA, served as president of the Chemical Sources Association for three years, and was a professional member of both the IFT and the Society of Flavor Chemists.

Since its founding 20 years ago, FFS has grown to a company with more than 100 employees and a global customer base. FFS has its headquarters in Mahwah, New Jersey, with manufacturing plants in Baltimore and Mexico.

Assuming the role of President of Flavor & Fragrance Specialties is Michael C. Bloom who has been with the company since its inception.
