OWENS-CORNING NAMES DAVID S. BRYAN DIRECTOR, CORPORATE DEVELOPMENT

 TOLEDO, Ohio, Nov. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Owens-Corning (NYSE: OCF) has announced the appointment of David S. Bryan to director, Corporate Development.
 "Mr. Bryan's knowledge and experience with mergers, acquisitions and divestitures will help us move toward our business goal of $5 billion in revenue by the year 2000," said Glen H. Hiner, Owens- Corning chairman and CEO.
 Bryan joins Owens-Corning after six years as the senior vice president, mergers and acquisitions, at McDonald & Company Securities in Cleveland.
 Prior to joining McDonald & Company, he was employed for seven years by Masco Industries, in Taylor, Mich. There he rose through jobs of increasing responsibility and was assistant to the vice president for Corporate Development when he left Masco in 1987.
 Bryan earned a B.A., with honors, in accounting, from Michigan State University, and an M.B.A., with distinction, in finance, from the University of Michigan.
 He will report to Paula Cholmondeley, vice president, Business Development and Global Sourcing.
