 OWEN J. DOUGHERTY APPOINTED VICE PRESIDENT,
 DIRECTOR OF CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS OF FOOTE, CONE & BELDING
 CHICAGO, Dec. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Owen J. Dougherty, 36, has been appointed vice president, director of corporate communications, for Foote, Cone & Belding Communications, Inc. (NYSE: FCB), effective immediately.
 Dougherty will oversee media relations, employee communications, and investor relations for the agency's worldwide network. He will report to Gregory Blaine, chief of staff to Bruce Mason, chairman and chief executive officer of FCB Communications, Inc. He assumes the responsibilities previously held by Gina Greer, who has returned to New York, her long-time home, to pursue other career opportunities.
 Currently vice president and director of communications at FCB/Chicago, Dougherty has been with the agency for two-and-a-half years. During his tenure, he has contributed communications counsel on all matters pertaining to the Chicago office and many of its clients.
 Prior to FCB, Dougherty served as vice president and director of communications at Bozell, Inc., for four years. Earlier in his career, he worked at Burson-Marsteller as a media/communications specialist on such accounts as the Netherlands government, Sears, Seale, DuPont, and Johnson & Johnson. He also served as an assistant press secretary and speechwriter for three mayors of the city of Chicago. In addition, he has worked in national presidential campaigns.
 Dougherty is a graduate of Loyola Academy and John Carroll University and holds a B.A. in political science.
