ORTHO INTRODUCES NEW DISPOSABLE APPLICATORS FOR MONISTAT 7 CREAM
MONISTAT 7 OTC OBSERVES FIRST YEAR WITH LEADERSHIP POSITION
RARITAN, N.J., May 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Monistat (R) 7 cream, introduced one year ago as a new over-the-counter cure for most vaginal yeast infections (candidiasis), will now be available to women with seven disposable cardboard applicators in each package. Ortho Pharmaceutical's Advanced Care Products division is introducing this new item in response to consumer demand for greater convenience.
Since its introduction to the over-the-counter marketplace in the Spring of 1991, Monistat 7 has established itself as the market leader, continuing its heritage in the number one position it had when it was a prescription product.
"We are very pleased with the success Monistat 7 has had in the over-the-counter arena this past year," remarks Peter Gonze, vice president, Advanced Care Products, "and we will continue to listen and respond to women's needs with regard to Monistat 7. That's why we are introducing Monistat 7 cream with disposable applicators."
Monistat 7 is indicated for the treatment of recurrent vaginal yeast infections. It is indicated for previous sufferers only who have had their symptoms diagnosed by a physician as a yeast infection.
