ORION HOME VIDEO WILL MARKET PHOENIX COMMUNICATIONS VIDEO PRODUCT; AGREEMENT INCLUDES U.S. MARKETING OF MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL

 LOS ANGELES, Nov. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Orion Home Video announced today that it has entered into an agreement with The PHoenix Communications Group under terms of which Orion will be the exclusive United States marketer of home video product for PHoenix.
 The PHoenix Communications Group operates Major League Baseball Productions under license from Major League Baseball and is the exclusive licensee for Major League Baseball video productions. Orion also will market other special PHoenix video releases, both related to and unrelated to baseball.
 Herb Dorfman, Orion Home Video senior vice president, said, "We are delighted to have been selected by PHoenix Communications to market its unique sports-oriented product. Its baseball home video catalog is unique in our industry; the tremendous growth of baseball, in terms of spectator attendance, television viewing and franchise expansion, we believe, will fuel the continued growth of related home video product."

 The PHoenix Communications Group, based in South Hackensack, N.J., was started in 1985. Among its award-winning television programs are "This Week in Baseball" with Mel Allen completing its 17th season, and "The Pennant Chase." PHoenix also operates Sports Newsatellite (SNS), a daily satellite feed of sports highlights, interviews and feature material from all major sporting events, which is delivered to 180 television stations around the country for use in their news broadcasts. PHoenix's Major League Baseball Home Video Catalog containing 107 titles, including the official World Series videos, team histories, "Baseball's Funniest Bloopers," "The History of Baseball" and "This Week in Baseball's Greatest Plays," as well as several instructional tapes.
