ORIOLE HOMES PURCHASES LAND IN BOCA RATON; COMPANY TO BUILD 60 LUXURY APARTMENT UNITS AT BOCA WEST

DELRAY BEACH, Fla., Feb. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Oriole Homes Corp. (AMEX: OHC.A, OHC.B) announced today that it has purchased a parcel of land in the Fairway Pointe community of Boca West, an upscale development located in Boca Raton, Fla. During 1993, Oriole will begin construction on the first of two 30-unit, eight-story buildings it will construct at Fairway Pointe. These two buildings represent the final residential construction project at Boca West.
The buildings, which are located on a golf course, feature luxurious three-bedroom, three-bath condominium apartments with 3,348 square feet of air-conditioned living space, and an 800-plus-square-foot wraparound balcony. The units will have selling prices starting at approximately $400,000. Other amenities at Fairway Pointe include a large heated swimming pool, a separate whirlpool, a spacious deck area and landscaped grounds. Additionally, each building will feature the services of a concierge/valet, and have a social/card room and state-of-the-art electronic security system. As part of Boca West, homeowners will be eligible to apply for membership in the Boca West Club, which entitles the use of our four championship golf courses, 34 tennis courts, and the Club Center.
Commenting further, Mark A. Levy, Oriole's president, said, "This project represents our company's entry into a segment of the market that targets a different type verage price of units available at our other communities. We believe the luxury features of the units, community amenities at Fairway Pointe, and prestigious setting within Boca West, coupled with Oriole's 30-year record of excellence, will work together to make this a very successful project."
Oriole Homes is engaged principally in the design, construction, marketing and sale of single-family homes, patio homes, townhomes, villas, duplexes and low- and mid-rise condominiums in Palm Beach and Broward counties in Florida. Since 1963, the company has built over 21,000 residences.
