 OREXANA ACQUIRES MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY COMPANY
 MIAMI, Feb. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Orexana Corporation, (NASDAQ: XXAU)


announced today it has acquired 100 percent of the stock of Tampa, Fla.-based Diagnostic Ultrasound, Inc. for stock, and simultaneously agreed to invest an additional $330,000 in the company. Diagnostic Ultrasound has been in the mobile medical imaging field for six years and has branches in Bradenton and Tampa. Fla. Additionally, Diagnostic has recently started a neuro technology division.
 Michael I. Williams, chief executive officer and B. Douglas Riddle, chief operating officer of Diagnostic have entered into employment agreements with Diagnostic and will remain with the company, to ensure continuity and the implementation of plans for future growth.
 Orexana is committed to expand its presence in medical technology and is presently negotiating to acquire additional companies in this field.
 Orexana has completely ceased all operations in the precious metals field and has no plans to re-enter that field.
