 OPTICAL SENSORS FOR MEDICINE NAMES CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
 Wesley G. Peterson, Formerly with CIMA Labs, Inc.
 MINNEAPOLIS, June 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Optical Sensors for Medicine has named Wesley G. Peterson chief financial officer and director of administration.
 Peterson was most recently vice president of finance and administration for Minneapolis-based CIMA Labs, Inc. From 1984-86, he was director of finance and administration for Upsher-Smith Labs, Inc. (USL), Minneapolis.
 Peterson was corporate controller for Cardiac Pacemakers, Inc. (CPI), a division of Eli Lilly and Company, from 1980-84. Prior to that, from 1976-79 he was corporate controller - U.S. operations for CPI. From 1974-76, Peterson was a senior accountant with Ernst & Young.
 Peterson is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Management Accountant. He received his bachelor of arts in accounting from Moorhead State University in 1974. He is a member of the American Institute of CPA's, the Minnesota Society of CPA's and the Institute of Management Accountants.
 Optical Sensors for Medicine is developing fiberoptic diagnostic blood gas sensors for use in critical care environments. The products are designed to provide continuous, cost-effective monitoring of a patient's respiratory status while eliminating the need to handle the patient's blood. Optical Sensors for Medicine, which is privately held, is based in Eden Prairie, Minn.
