Kids can learn physical,

social skills at LCC camps

First-Class Summer Camps for Kids for ages 8 to 15 are being offered through Continuing Education at Lane Community College. The start dates vary between June 25 and Aug. 27. Sessions vary from 8 to 18 hours.

Courses include cartooning, cheerleading, cyber games, dance, fly fishing, martial arts, OMSI react-o-blast, social manners, basketball, and volleyball, plus online courses.

Camp at grade school

to offer arts experiences

COTTAGE GROVE - Local groups will join forces this summer to offer a Jungle Safari Arts Camp from July 12-22, Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Bohemia Elementary School.

Campers will be guided through a range of arts experiences led by professional artists. The program is open to students grades 1-7.

4-day institute to present online teaching skills

The Oregon Online Leaders are offering a four-day summer institute from June 15-18 at the Willamette Education Service District in Salem. The event is for educators interested in online teaching. The focus will be on best practices in online teaching, online course development, and technical support for the experienced and novice online educator.
