Organizations present town hall

The last of three town hall meetings on education will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Prairie Mountain School, 5305 Royal Ave.

Speakers include Ben Cannon, education adviser to Gov. John Kitz haber, Bethel Superintendent Colt Gill and Bethel teacher Ann Burgess.

The event is sponsored by Stand for Children, the Bethel School District, The Chalkboard Project and the Oregon Chamber of Commerce.

Winter Light Faire scheduled

The Eugene Waldorf School, 1350 McLean Blvd., will host its annual Winter Light Faire from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Activities include candle-dipping, puppet shows, crafts, cakewalks, the Crystal Cookie Cave, Hanukkah room, food and games, Russian Tea Room and Rose Caf, Golden Goose school store and live music.

Admission is free; some events require tickets costing $1.50.
