ONS offers DNP information as service to members.

ONS has compiled information about the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree as a service to oncology nurses. ONS recognizes that nurses have differing opinions about the DNP and its impact on the nursing profession, especially with respect to advanced practice nursing roles.

ONS has taken no official position on the DNP. ONS members are encouraged to read the brief information and additional resources available at www.ons .org/clinical/professional/Quality Cancer/documents/DNP06.pdf. ONS is committed to monitoring issues that affect nursing practice such as the DNP. ONS will make every effort to keep ONS members informed with timely and accurate information and updates.
