ONE-MILLIONTH GUEST WELCOMED AT GRAND CASINO HINCKLEY!
Cottage Grove Man Awarded Special Gifts for His "Lucky Number"
HINCKLEY, Minn., Sept. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Some people's lucky number may be as simple as 5 or 7, buy Eric P. Schmidt, 23, of Cottage Grove, Minn. knows that his lucky number is definitely 1,000,000! That's because he was the one-millionth guest to visit Grand Casino Hinckley, and was told his good fortune by Marge Anderson, chief executive of the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe, owners of the premier family-style casino. This was only Schmidt's second visit to the Hinckley facility, the first being three weeks ago. "This is just fantastic! I'm so surprised!", Schmidt exclaimed. He arrived at Grand Casino Hinckley as a passenger on one of the regularly scheduled Grand Shuttle Express buses which leave daily from the Mall of America, where Grand Casinos operates a store where instructional blackjack is available to novices to play for chips of no value. Grand Casino Hinckley opened May 15, 1992, and last Saturday welcomed over 22,000 guests in that one day alone!
Anderson presented Schmidt with a framed certificate commemorating his position as guest number one-million, along with a second certificate which netted him $730 worth of gifts, including a three night stay for four people at a luxury Grand Resort Chalet, one of the permanent rental units at Grand Casino Hinckley's RV resort, adjacent to the casino (which opened Friday, Sept. 4, but will be officially dedicated next Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 11 a.m.).
The certificate also entities him to lunch and dinner for up to four people for three days at Grand Casino Hinckley's world-famous Grand Casino Buffet, $200 in free play chips, $100 worth of slot quarters or tokens, four Grand Casino Hinckley Fun Books, and four Grand Advantage Players Club memberships.
