ONCOR ACQUIRES AMERICAN INNOVISION

 ONCOR ACQUIRES AMERICAN INNOVISION
GAITHERSBURG, MD., Nov. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Oncor, Inc. (NASDAQ:

ONCR), announced today that it has acquired American Innovision, Inc. a San Diego-based company that is a leader in the development of highly- sensitive, color cameras and software-based imaging systems.
With this acquisition, Oncor intends to develop and market image analysis systems in conjunction with its microscope slide-based DNA probe tests for the early detection and management of cancer and other genetic diseases.
Oncor is introducing its integrated image analysis system this week at the American Society of Human Genetics Annual Meeting in San Francisco.
"This is a perfect marriage of two innovative technologies that are important to the future of clinical medicine -- Oncor's proprietary DNA probes combined with computer-based color image analysis," said Oncor's Chairman and CEO Stephen Turner. "Together they will automate microscope slide-based DNA probe analysis of cells. The American Innovision systems will archive, and allow rapid color print out of results, for patient reports. We intend to integrate the camera and software development with our own DNA probe and chemistry development to achieve improved sensitivity in detecting genetic changes in cells."
American Innovision has developed the first true color, real-time image analysis system that is capable of seeing low light level, fluorescent color signals. The clinician can see and capture true color images and hard copies, not arbitrary colors assigned by a software program.
Oncor's marketing and sales group will now market with American Innovision the imaging systems to the healthcare markets.
Jose Torre-Bueno, American Innovision's founder and CEO, commented, "This is a truly exciting partnership -- the vision of a team integrating the research and development of camera, software and DNA chemistry technologies into one system -- all directed toward leadership in DNA based analysis of cells. It is a very powerful combination, particularly because of Oncor's leading position in DNA probes and broad fluorescent detection technology, its established sales organization and strong working capital position."
Founded in 1982, American Innovision, a privately-held company, designs and manufactures real-time, color image measurement systems for pharmaceutical and industrial quality control and medical applications.
Oncor develops, manufactures and markets DNA probe test systems and related products for use in the diagnosis, monitoring and management of cancer and other genetic diseases.
