BRITISH cycling boss Dave Brailsford sent his platoon of gold pedallists back on to the track in Manchester last night bidding "good riddance" to Beijing. Although his blazing saddles plundered an amazing eight gold medals at the Olympic, Brailsford struggled to enjoy the celebrations.

And as Victoria Pendleton and Bradley Wiggins led a strong British contingent into the World Cup classics meeting today, Brailsford said: "Beijing is behind us, and good riddance. For me, it's not about floats and going to see the Queen - it's about racing."
