ON THE MOVE.

Paul E. Bryant has been named senior vice president of urban affairs for the Gallup Organization in Princeton, New Jersey. He is responsible for marketing Gallup's services to some of the largest minority-owned companies in the U.S. Previously, he was vice president and division manager of the international division of public safety.

Amy S. Hilliard has been appointed senior vice president of marketing for Soft Sheen Products Inc. in Chicago. She will oversee all marketing activity for the company, from new product development and advertising to promotion and public relations. Previously, she was president and CEO of the Hilliard Group Inc.

Tyrone G. Byrd has been appointed assistant treasurer of Texaco Inc. in Houston. In his new position, he will be responsible for the treasury management activities for worldwide exploration and production. Most recently, he was treasurer of Worldwide Exploration and Production, a division of Texaco.

Melodie I. Mayberry-Stewart has been appointed senior vice president and chief information officer of Blue Shield of California. Her duties will include overseeing all aspects of information systems at Blue Shield. Previously, she was general manager and vice president of information technology for corporate and shared services at BP Amoco Oil Corp.

Charles B. Gamble Jr. has been named executive vice president of Philadelphia International Records. He is responsible for directing the company's Philadelphia-based operations and increasing its market share in the U.S. and overseas markets. Previously, he was a partner in Gamble Information Systems, a technical support company.
