Semiconductor company ON Semiconductor Corporation (Nasdaq:ONNN) reported on Tuesday that operations of its SANYO Semiconductor division in the Rojana Industrial Park in Ayutthaya, Thailand, have been suspended because of recent flooding in the region.

The SANYO Semiconductor division currently operates wafer probe and assembly and test operations in the Rojana Industrial Park, which is located approximately 70 km north of Bangkok.

ON Semiconductor's president and CEO, Keith Jackson, said that the company is assessing the impact to operations in the Rojana Industrial Park and is working to identify options for shifting production to other facilities.

The operations at the Rojana Industrial Park are estimated to have produced approximately 5-10% of ON Semiconductor's total worldwide output as measured by revenues of USD905.8m for the second quarter of 2011. The company expects to record some loss of revenue in the fourth quarter of 2011 and into 2012 due to the flood and related damage.
