Finnish-Swedish stock exchange operator OMX AB said on Wednesday (17 August) that it had signed a five-year agreement with NYMEX Europe Limited for IT infrastructure services.

The services are for the open outcry futures exchange that NYMEX plans to open in London, UK.

The agreement, which follows an earlier decision by NYMEX Europe to lease space in OMX's London office, includes hosting its European IT infrastructure as well as desktop and network support for its trading floor.

NYMEX Europe would initially offer open outcry trading of Brent crude oil and gasoil futures.
