OMV's Q2 production falls by around 14% Y/Y.

(SeeNews) - Jul 22, 2011 - Austrian oil group OMV AG (WBAG:OMV) said today that due to the unrest in Libya and Yemen its overall production in the second quarter of 2011 declined by around 14% on the year to 275,000 boe/d.

In the first quarter of 2011, the company's overall production volume stood at 304,000 boe/d.

OMV's production was further affected by margin drops and unfavourable currency effects.

The ongoing political instability in Libya and Yemen led to a reduction in overall production of 24,000 bbl/d as compared with the first quarter of the year.
