OMSB Board of Trustees Meets.
Muscat, Aug 27 (ONA)--- The Board of Trustees of Oman Medical Specialties Board (OMSB) today held its 3rd meeting in 2012 under the chairmanship of Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed al-Sa'eedi, Minister of Health and Chairman of the Board. The meeting approved minutes of the Board 2nd meeting, held on June 11th, 2012, discussed the agreement signed with the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) in terms of possible services for accreditation and expected costs to provide those services and international recognition for a number of new programmes. The meeting also discussed the complete training requirements that require the completion of end-of-the-year tests and part I and II tests, as well as assessing the interns in the most wanted manner, improve and develop the role of resident physician in the specialized medical programme, in addition to providing research based on modern scientific method for all resident doctors. The meeting discussed the adoption of Internship Authority's guide to attend training events abroad, including conferences, workshops and training courses.
