OMNICOM VENTURES SUBSIDIARY TO SUPPLY THE UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA
MINNEAPOLIS, Jan. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Omnicom Ventures, Inc. (NYSE: OCM) announced today that their wholly owned subsidiary, Advanced Medical Systems Corp. will supply their PFM-H100 (Pulmonary Function Monitor - Home 100) to the University of Minnesota for a study that will correlate pulmonary function parameters to early detection of lung and heart-lung transplant rejection and/or infection. A heart-lung or lung transplant patient will perform certain measurement tasks at home, record the data in the PFM-H100 and transmit this data electronically to AMS central Pulmonary Disease Management system (PDM-1000), where the data will be cataloged, compared and trended for analysis by the university and disseminated to the patient's physicians.
This non-invasive monitoring has the potential to open up a new pre- symptomatic approach to early detection of transplant rejection.
