 OMNICOM REPORTS RESULTS
 NEW YORK, April 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Omnicom Group Inc. (NYSE: OMC)


today announced that net income for the first quarter of 1992 increased 21 percent to $12.7 million from $10.5 million in the first quarter of 1991. Fully diluted earnings per share increased 12 percent to $0.45 per share in 1992 from $0.40 per share in 1991.
 Worldwide revenues from commission and fee income increased 9 percent to $308.9 million in the first quarter of 1992 from $282.8 million in the first quarter of 1991. Domestically, commission and fee income for the first quarter of 1992 was $164.7 million in 1991. International commission and fee income increased 22 percent to $144.3 million in 1992 from $118.1 million in 1991. The favorable impact of acquisitions net of divestitures on worldwide commission and fee income was approximately 6 percent as compared to 1991.
 In the first quarter of 1992 the Company adopted Statement of Financial Accounting Standards 106 (Post Retirement Benefits Other Than Pensions) and 109 (Accounting for Income Taxes). The favorable after tax impact of the adoption of these accounting standards was $3.8 million. At the same time the company provided a special charge for future lease costs related to facilities of $6.7 million before tax, equivalent to $3.8 million after tax.
