OMNICOM GROUP, INC. REPORTS RESULTS

 NEW YORK, Aug. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Omnicom Group, Inc. (NYSE: OMC) today announced that net income for the second quarter of 1993 increased 22 percent to $27.3 million from $22.4 million in the second quarter of 1992. Fully diluted earnings per share increased 14 percent to $0.82 per share in 1993 from $0.72 per share in 1992.
 Worldwide revenues from commission and fee income increased 10 percent to $381.8 million in the second quarter of 1993 from $347.6 million in the second quarter of 1992. Domestic commission and fee income for the second quarter of 1993 increased 3 percent to $187.7 million compared to $183.1 million in 1992. International commission and fee income increased 18 percent to $194.0 million in 1993 from $164.5 million in 1992. The favorable impact of acquisitions, net of divestitures, on worldwide commission and fee income was approximately 12 percent as compared to 1992.
 Net income for the six months ended June 30, 1993 increased 19 percent to $41.7 million from $35.1 million in 1992. Fully diluted earnings per share increased 12 percent to $1.31 per share in 1993 from $1.17 per share in the same period in 1992. Worldwide revenues from commission and fee income increased 10 percent to $720.9 million in 1993 from $656.4 million in 1992. Domestic commission and fee income for the six months ended June 30, 1993 increased 6 percent to $367.7 million compared to $347.7 million in 1992. International commission and fee income increased 14 percent to $353.2 million in 1993 from $308.8 million in 1992. The favorable impact of acquisitions, net of divestitures, on worldwide commission and fee income was approximately 10 percent as compared to 1992.
 During the quarter, Omnicom Group, Inc. completed the acquisition of TBWA International, which has been accounted for as a pooling of interest effective January 1, 1993. The results for the second quarter and six months include the results of TBWA International.
 The company also announced that it will redeem its outstanding 7 percent Convertible Subordinated Debentures in October 1993.
