The company has developed non-cadmium stabilizers for the calendered flexible vinyl market. The following are barium/zinc stabilizers: Plastistab 2378, a general-purpose liquid stabilizer that reportedly provides excellent color hold during processing and retains surface tension when printing with water-based inks; Plastistab 2372, a liquid stabilizer for wall-covering applications; Plastistab 2553, a powder stabilizer used as a booster for the general-purpose liquid stabilizer in order to improve printing; and Plastistab 2554, a powder stabilizer used as a booster for the general-purpose liquid stabilizer for critical white applications, both in rigid and flexible formulations. Plastistab 2377 is a liquid, low-phenolic, barium/zinc stabilizer for general-purpose applications. New non-heavy-metal calcium/zinc stabilizers are Plastistab 2030, a general-purpose liquid stabilizer for filled and pigmented formulations; Plastistab. 2024 a liquid stabilizer for wall-covering applications; Plastistabs 2158 and 2159, powder stabilizers used as boosters for the general-purpose liquid stabilizer for improved surface tension; and Plastistab 2163, a powder stabilizer used as a booster for the general-purpose liquid stabilizer for critical white applications.
