OLSTEN LAUNCHES MATURE ADVANTAGE(TM) PROGRAM

-- The First In The Industry Offering Recognition and Incentives For
Mature Adults and Community Organizations --
WESTBURY, N.Y., Nov. 20 ~PRNewswire~ -- Olsten Temporary Services (AMEX: OLS), one of North America's largest staffing services, introduced its Mature Advantage(TM) program, the first recruitment and retention program in the staffing services industry that recognizes the value of mature adults aged 50 and over and provides rewards for community organizations of their choice. The individual becomes eligible for the recognition and community contribution after successfully completing 200 hours on temporary assignments.
After research and a year of testing the program in five markets, Olsten found that mature adults are concerned about enhancing their communities and are active in a variety of organizations. By donating to community organizations on behalf of its mature temporaries, Olsten is also underscoring its commitment to the communities it serves. In this way, Mature Advantage encourages mature adults to respond to Olsten's temporary opportunities, establishes working relationships with community organizations, and effectively communicates to clients the expertise and capabilities of mature adult temporaries.
"The prospect of 'un-retiring' and reentering the work force on a temporary basis provides mature adults with a great sense of usefulness, financial rewards, and renewed contact with people of all generations. They are able to challenge themselves or keep current with trends without giving up the flexibility that they need in retirement for travel or to pursue other interests," comments Frank Liguori, Olsten's chairman and chief executive officer. "Olsten has been helping mature adults find viable flexible work schedules for some time. Mature Advantage helps us formalize our approach to recruiting and, at the same time, reward these hard-working people and the community organizations in which they are active. In this way, we are able to attract a steady stream of capable people to fulfill our clients' needs."
Founded in 1950, Olsten does business under the trades names Olsten Temporary Services, Olsten HealthCare, and Olsten Professional Accounting Services. The corporation has more than 700 offices throughout North America serving 125,000 client accounts and employing more than 350,000 flexible workers.
To register for the program, mature adults can call 1-800-225-TEMP for the number of their local Olsten office.
