OLIVER HOLT: HATTS THE WAY TO DO IT, FRANK.

Byline: OLIVER HOLT

WE MAY have lost a heavyweight world champion with the retirement of Lennox Lewis last year but suddenly British boxing is buzzing again.

Frank Warren deserves an immense amount of credit for sealing the deal for Ricky Hatton to have a crack at light-welterweight champion Kostya Tsyzu in the summer.

And the richly-talented and criminally unheralded Howard Eastman will travel to Los Angeles next month to challenge undisputed middleweight champion Bernard 'The Executioner' Hopkins for his WBC belt.

To complete the set, I hope that Joe Calzaghe, who has had a troubled time recently, gets the defining fight he craves and the respect he deserves in 2005 as well.

It's going to be a big year for British boxing.
