Dave Lahti, Oldsmobile's general sales and service manager, said, "We have been working hard to improve our retail sales performance.
"Oldsmobile's 1994 line-up of products represents an outstanding 'price/value' relationship. Our Special Edition models continue to spearhead our sales improvements accounting for over 90 percent of all new orders.
"The future looks bright. Ahead of us we have the introduction of the all-new, highly acclaimed Aurora. This exciting new, prestige luxury model goes on sale next spring with a Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price of just $31,995. The Aurora reaffirms our commitment to providing Oldsmobile customers with quality products at highly competitive prices.
"We also announced that Oldsmobile will continue to market a contender in the growing Sports Utility sector with the introduction of a new Bravada in the fall of 1995."
Lahti concluded: "Our strategy to focus our energies on the retail sector of the market; to provide well-equipped, high-quality vehicles at extremely competitive prices and the implementation of one of the most comprehensive customer satisfaction programs in the industry -- the Oldsmobile Edge -- have all made a significant contribution to our sales turnaround."
