OLDSMOBILE ANNOUNCES NEW BRAVADA

LANSING, Mich., Nov. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Oldsmobile today confirmed its plans to introduce a new Bravada in the fall of 1995.
Sharing General Motors' new 330 platform with Chevrolet's S-Blazer and GMC's Jimmy, the new Oldsmobile Sports Utility will continue to feature the current Bravada's well-proven 4.3-liter central port fuel injected V-6 engine and industry-leading SmartTrak system -- the combination of full-time, -?wheel-drive with ABS.
John Rock, Oldsmobile's general manager, said, "Growth in the SUV market continues to outpace that of the total industry. The Bravada competes in the luxury sector of the SUV market where retail sales have almost doubled over the last three years.
"The SUV market is a dynamic one and I am certain the new Bravada, like the current model, will make a positive contribution not only in its specific sector but also to Oldsmobile's growing reputation for quality, style and exceptional value across its product range."
He concluded, "We are committed to ensuring that Oldsmobile's customers continue to have one of the most comprehensive product lineups in the industry and the Bravada remains an integral part of our forward product strategy."
