Captiva Software Corporation (Nasdaq: CPTV), the leading provider of enterprise input management solutions, today announced a strategic alliance with Optical Image Technology, Inc. (OIT), a premier developer of award-winning document and content management software.

Under the marketing agreement, OIT will promote best-practice information capture abilities with Captiva's InputAccel(R), a leading input management software solution. By marketing InputAccel, OIT is able to offer its customers a more complete information management solution for converting documents, such as paper forms and faxes, into electronic formats that can be searched and retrieved through OIT's content management software. As part of the agreement, OIT and Captiva will collaborate on mutually beneficial sales and marketing opportunities.

"With billions of paper records being scanned through organizations every year, there remains a critical business need for seamless information capture technology systems," said Scott Buchart, President of OIT. The InputAccel platform can also be integrated with FormWare(TM), Captiva's award-winning information capture software that automates data and image capture from paper and electronic forms and documents.

"We're looking forward to extending the availability of InputAccel to new customers and into new markets through this partnership with OIT," said Blaine Owens, Vice President of Worldwide Sales for Captiva.
