OIBC 2011.

Muscat, Feb 19 (ONA) --- Activities of "Oman International Business Conference (OIBC) 2011" will began tomorrow "Sunday" at Sultan Qaboos University under the auspices of Sayyida Dr. Muna bint Fahd al Said, Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) Assistant Vice Chancellor for External Cooperation.

'150' Academics and researchers will take part in the deliberations of the conference, which will be organized by the College of Commerce and Economics, in addition to specialists from the Sultanate and 25 world countries during which 76 scientific papers and researches will be presented, as well as, four main sessions.

Dr. Darweesh bin Saif Al-Maharbi, Head of the Organizing Committee and Assistant Professor at the Department of Management at the College of Commerce and Economics explained that the conference aims to provide a source of interaction amongst academics, policy makers and practitioners in the public and private sectors with the researchers and higher education students to discuss their researches and expertise and exchange the ideas on the theme of the conference, in addition to assessing and analyzing the business, management and the society in the Middle East to enhance exchange of knowledge among the participants from various world countries.

The participants represent a number of global business schools to discuss the topics and themes related to the impact of the financial crisis on the world economy, the changes occurring in the world economy, exploitation and the utilization of the natural resources, in addition to the economic situation in the AGCC States and the human resources management in the Middle East among other important economic aspects and topics.
