OHM FINALIZES $100 MILLION EPA CONTRACT

 FINDLAY, Ohio, Jan. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- OHM Corporation (NYSE: OHM), a leading on-site hazardous waste remediation firm, today announced that it recently finalized an Emergency Response Cleanup Services (ERCS) Contract with the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for EPA Region I.
 The Region I ERCS contract was awarded to OHM in March 1993 under a letter contract with a base period that may be extended annually for four additional one-year terms at the option of the EPA. The EPA recently finalized the contract and extended the contract for the first option year. From its inception and including the extensions and increases, this contract now has a total potential value of $100 million through the end of 1997. Under terms of the contract, the Company will provide remediation services for the EPA at sites where there is an imminent threat to the public health or the environment. Services will be provided in EPA Region I, which includes Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Vermont.
 In addition to the above contract, the Company is currently performing work under an ERCS contract for EPA Region II, which includes New York, New Jersey and the Virgin Islands and two ERCS contracts in EPA Region IV, which includes eight states in the Southeastern United States. These ERCS contracts have a remaining potential value of approximately $80 million and $28 million, respectively, over their potential terms, including extensions and increases at the option of the EPA.
