OHIO PROFESSIONAL AND AMATEUR ATHLETE AWARDS DINNER RETURNS FOR '94; LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD WINNERS ANNOUNCED

 DAYTON, Ohio, Nov. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Citizens Federal Bank, F.S.B. and CitFed Mortgage Corporation, the bank's wholly owned subsidiary, announced their sponsorship of the 1994 Ohio Professional and Amateur Athlete of the Year Awards Dinner. The event will be held at the Dayton Convention Center on Monday, Feb. 14.
 This is the first year Citizens Federal and CitFed Mortgage have sponsored the dinner, which features the presentation of the Mike Schmidt Professional Athlete of the Year Award and the Dave Albritton Amateur Athlete of the Year Award. Guest speakers include former NFL star and Heisman Trophy winner Paul Hornung and college basketball coaching legend Al McGuire. Marty Brennaman, play-by-play announcer for the Cincinnati Reds, will serve as emcee for the program.
 The 1994 Lifetime Achievement Awards will also be presented during the program. Winners who have confirmed their attendance at the dinner include Lucinda Adams, Bob Arnzen, Ritter Collett, Don Donoher, Glenn Sample and Fred Taylor.
 "Having served the Miami Valley for nearly 60 years, Citizens Federal is excited about being associated with this prestigious event," said Bill Vichich, the bank's executive vice president and vice chairman of the dinner committee. "We are especially proud that the Dayton community serves as host of the Ohio Pro/Am Dinner. We consider it a very worthy event and an opportunity to showcase our city on a statewide basis."
 Proceeds from the Ohio Professional and Amateur Athlete of the Year Awards Dinner benefit youth programs in the Greater Miami Valley. Past recipients have included the Salvation Army, the Bayless/Byars Football Camp, Children's Medical Center and Wright State University.
 Voting on the Professional and Amateur Awards is done by media members throughout Ohio. Nominations have been solicited and balloting will be conducted over the next month, according to Committee Chairman Jack Gayheart.
 Nominees for the 1994 Amateur Award include Brian Anderson (Wright State baseball), Jim Ballard (Mt. Union football), Joey Galloway (Ohio State football), Rex Holman (Ohio State wrestling), David Small (University of Cincinnati football), Katie Smith (Ohio State basketball) and Nick Van Exel (University of Cincinnati basketball).
 Nominees for the 1994 Professional Award include Carlos Baerga (Cleveland Indians), Albert Belle (Cleveland Indians), Clay Matthews (Cleveland Browns), John Paxson (Chicago Bulls) and Jose Rijo (Cincinnati Reds).
 Winners of the Professional and Amateur Awards will be announced prior to the event by the end of December. A list of former winners is outlined below.
