OHIO AWARDS LEE DATA AN ESTIMATED $6.4 MILLION CONTRACT TO PROVIDE NETWORKING CONTROLLERS AND PERIPHERALS FOR THE DEPT. OF HUMAN SERVICES

 MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Lee Data, a Division of IIS Inc., a subsidiary of I.I.S. Intelligent Information Systems, Ltd. (NASDAQ: IISLF), has been awarded a contract with an estimated value of $6.4 million by the state of Ohio to supply and service network controllers, terminals, and printers to support the Department of Human Services Mainframe Online Systems. The contract revenues are expected to be received over its term which is from Oct. 15, 1993, through June 30, 1996.
 Mainframe Online Systems provides services to Ohio's public assistance recipients through timely eligibility determinations, accurate verification processes, participation in appropriate programs, and prompt issuance of assistance. Programs supported include Aid to Dependent Children, Food Stamps, Medicaid, Child Support Enforcement, and General Assistance/Disability Assistance.
 Lee Data's products will be employed in over 200 sites across 88 counties serving 2 million clients. The contract is open to allow 79 other government agencies, counties, townships, municipalities, school districts, state universities, community colleges, and vocational schools to order off the contract.

 The Lee Data products selected by the state of Ohio include the Series 4000 Network Controllers which allow full network connectivity providing SNA/SDLC, Token-Ring and X.25 interfaces. The controllers also provide host access from both IBM-compatible and ASCII devices. Lee Data's color display offers IBM compatibility, superior ergonomics, expanded printer support, ALICE(TM) desktop accessories, and extended Vital Product Data support for efficient network management. The printers chosen by the state feature advanced paper handling and print functions, at a wide range of print speeds.
 I.I.S. Intelligent Information Systems Limited designs, develops, manufactures, markets, and services data communication, networking, and intelligent peripheral products. These products provide access to a variety of hosts, local area networks, and wide area networks within IBM midrange and mainframe environments.
