OGDEN EXPANDS AMPHITHEATER CLIENT BASE WITH FIVE NEW CONTRACTS.

New York, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--February 10, 1995--Ogden Corporation (Ogden) announced today that its Entertainment Services division has recently been awarded food and beverage contracts for five amphitheaters in the United States, four of which are new amphitheaters scheduled to open in 1995.

Ogden was awarded a 20-year contract to provide parking and food and beverage services at the Cellar Door Amphitheater under construction in Prince William County near Manassas, Virginia. This outdoor concert facility, scheduled to open in the spring of 1995, will provide a range of events, from rock concerts to family-oriented shows, serving the metro Washington, D.C. area. Being built by the largest concert promoter in the country, this new facility will have a seating capacity of 25,000.

Ogden has also secured exclusive food and beverage contracts with both the Connecticut Center for the Performing Arts, being built in Hartford, and the Blockbuster Sony Music Entertainment Center at the Waterfront, being built in Camden, New Jersey. The contracts are for terms of 15 years and 10 years, respectively. Expected to open in the summer of 1995, both facilities are all-season amphitheaters providing seating for approximately 30,000 patrons. In the summer, the facilities will function as traditional amphitheaters with covered and lawn seating. During the winter, moving walls will allow the amphitheaters to be converted to indoor theaters.

Additionally, Ogden has secured 10-year food and beverage contracts with both the 25,000-seat Mega Star Amphitheater in Eufaula, Oklahoma, scheduled to open in the spring of 1995, and the 13,000-seat Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in Woodlands, Texas.
