HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani has sent a cable of condolences to the Custodian of the Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia on the death of the mother of Prince Khalid bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz . The emir also sent a similar cable to the king on the death of Prince Musaed bin Saud bin Abdulaziz.

Similar cables were also sent by HH the Deputy Emir and Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor al-Thani.

Chile greeted on National Day

HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, HH the Deputy Emir and Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor al-Thani have sent cables of congratulations to the president of Chile on the occasion of his country's National Day.

Al Sada leaves for Tokyo

HE the Minister for Energy and Industry Dr Mohamed bin Saleh al-Sada left Doha yesterday for Tokyo to attend the LNG Producer-Consumer Conference which opened yesterday. Al Sada will deliver a keynote speech today and he will also meet officials attending the conference.

Qatar-Albania ties reviewed

HE the Minister of Public Health Abdullah bin Khalid al-Qahtani who is also the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Health (SCH) met in Doha visiting Albanian Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Spiroquier. They reviewed bilateral relations with special emphasis on the health and medical areas. On Monday, HE Minister of Social Affairs and Acting Minister of Labour Nasser bin Abdullah al-Hemaidi met the Albanian minister.

Advisory Council team off to Amman

A delegation representing the Advisory Council left Doha yesterday for Amman to participate in the second annual conference of the Association of Secretaries General of Arab Parliaments starting today in the Jordanian capital. The Qatari delegation includes the Secretary-General of the Advisory Council Fahad bin Mubarak al-Khayareen .
