OFF THE LEASH Muttley.
HAVING a parody twitter account in your name is regarded as the reserve of the rich and famous so perhaps we should regard RPGTV's Jason Barrasford as such after one appeared in his name on Thursday evening. It appears likely to be sartorially judgemental based on early tweets, and has an appropriate picture of Barrasford as a result, but it isn't actually a hot-tofollow account with just two having signed up for it by yesterday afternoon.
THERE was always going to be a bit of toing and froing when it came to the initial drafts of the 2013 Sky Sports schedule and so it was that changes were announced yesterday when it became apparent that an extra date was available. So it is that the TV Trophy has now been shuffled back into the second half of the year which is a shame as it definitely fits better earlier rather than later when it is harder to fit in around the big autumn staying competitions. Of course, the very fact that we have Sky coverage back is something to celebrate but, should the new arrangement make year two and beyond, hopefully there will be a bit more time to formulate a structured schedule.
WILL it be a case of the Ladbrokes Golden Jacket favourite hoodoo striking again? Since the competition moved to Crayford in 1987, no outright ante-post favourite has won and, looking at the betting tables this time around, we reckon Blonde Reagan just about has that cross to bear. The two Marks, owner Currell and trainer Wallis, were in imperious form during all of last year and this will be a good pointer to their prospects of picking up in 2013 where they left off.
