OEA ADDS NEW BOARD MEMBERS

 DENVER, Nov. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Ahmed D. Kafadar, chairman and chief executive officer of OEA Inc. (NYSE: OEA) the Denver-based, high- technology manufacturer of automotive safety and aerospace products, announced that Dr. George S. Ansell, Howard P. Colhoun and Robert J. Schultz were elected to OEA's board of directors on Nov. 12, 1993.
 Ansell has been President of Colorado School of Mines (CSM) since 1984. Prior to CSM, he was Dean of the School of Engineering and served on the faculty of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for 24 years.
 Pete Colhoun is General Partner of Emerging Growth Partners (since 1982) and served in senior management positions with T. Rowe Price Associates and Arthur D. Little Inc. He is a regular participant on TV's Wall Street Week.
 Schultz has extensive automotive experience and served as Vice Chairman of General Motors from 1990 until his retirement in 1993 with responsibility for GM Hughes Electronics, Electronic Data Systems Corp., and GM's Corporate Information Activity. From 1984 through 1989 he was Group Executive of GM's former Chevrolet-Pontiac-GM of Canada Group.
 Kafadar noted that the vast knowledge and experience of the new board members in the scientific, financial and automotive fields will be important to OEA's continued growth and prosperity.
 OEA is the leading manufacturer of electric initiators and hybrid inflators for the automotive air bag, and of safety devices and systems used in the personnel escape systems of military aircraft, missiles and space applications.
