NEW Manchester United signing Odion Ighalo will miss the club's warm-weather training camp in Spain due to the coronarvirus epidemic.
Sf Having recently joined from Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shenhua, United fear the 30-yearold former Watford striker may not be allowed back into the UK if he flies to Marbella with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer (above) and the squad.
Strict border checks are in place across Europe, with anyone who has recently been in China potentially being at risk of spreading the virus - which has already claimed hundreds of lives.
Nigerian star Ighalo, snapped up on a six-month loan by United at the end of the January transfer window, flew into Manchester from China a week ago.
He's been assessed by United's own doctors and medical staff and received a clean bill of health, but United believe if he leaves the UK for Spain and attempts to re-enter the country he could be blocked.
United boss Solskjaer said: "He might have liked to have come with the players and got to know them, but the risk [of border restrictions tightening] is one we don't want to take."
Although Ighalo won't travel to meet his new team-mates, midfielder Scott McTominay and defender Axel Tuanzebe will travel to Spain as they close in on a first-team return after long-term injury
BORDERLINE DECISION United chiefs have decided not to risk Ighalo being refused re-entry to Britain by Spanish border officials
