OCEANEERING APPOINTS SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT AND CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

 HOUSTON, Oct. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Oceaneering International, Inc., (NYSE: OII) has named T. Jay Collins as senior vice president and chief financial officer. Mr. Collins officially assumed his duties on Oct. 1 and is based in Oceaneering's Corporate office in Houston.
 Mr. Collins was formerly with Teleco Oilfield Services, Inc., in Meriden, Conn., where he served as executive vice president of finance and administration and previously senior vice president of operations. Prior to working for Teleco, Jay held several executive-level positions within Sonat, Inc., including senior vice president of finance at Sonat Offshore Drilling and president of Houston Systems Manufacturing Company. His operational experience with Sonat Offshore Drilling includes international management in Venezuela, Singapore, Egypt and Ivory Coast. Mr. Collins began his career in Houston with Shell Oil Company after graduating with a B.A. and M.S. in chemical engineering from Rice University and then going on to receive an M.B.A. from Harvard.
