US federal institution the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) has announced that it has named a senior deputy comptroller for Bank Supervision Policy.

The organisation said that it has appointed Grovetta Gardineer to the position. She is to take over from Grace Dailey who is retiring on March 2.

Grovetta had been senior deputy comptroller for Compliance and Community Affairs since March 2016. In the new role, Gardineer is to direct the formulation of policies and procedures for the supervision and examination of national banks and federal savings associations.

Gardineer has more than 31 years of experience in bank supervision, policy, and regulation.
