SPRINGFIELD - A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 7, at Northwood Christian Church in Springfield for Gerald "Gary" Davis of Springfield, who died March 21 of age-related causes. He was 75. A reception will follow the service.
He was born Oct. 28, 1936, in Casper, Wyo., to Sherman and Juanita Davis. He married his wife, Sharon, in April 1956 in Coquille.
He graduated from Pleasant Hill High School in 1955. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1959. He worked for 38 years in the lumber and wood products industry in the Jasper, Creswell and Springfield areas.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Scott of Bend and Kevin of Springfield; two brothers, Alfred of Washington and John of Arizona; a sister, Judy Zupancic of Nevada; and four grandchildren.

MONROE - A celebration of life will be held at noon Thursday, April 5, at Buell Chapel in Springfield for Martha Catherine Hamelstrom of Monroe, who died March 25 of age-related causes. She was 91.
She was born June 13, 1920, in Langdon, N.D., to John and Regina Clodt. She married Lloyd Hamelstrom.
She was a farmer's wife and a homemaker.
Survivors include three daughters, Jean Kitchen of Monroe, Correen Duckworth of Junction City and Sharon Beardsley of Beaverton; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 26 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; two daughters, Carol Thieleu and Audrey Hickman; and three grandchildren.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 3, at St. Mark Catholic Church in Eugene for Eugene Vern "Geno" Jandt of Eugene, who died March 29 of complications from an aneurysm. He was 85.
He was born Jan. 31, 1927, in Beach, N.D., to Charles and Annastasia Piesik Jandt. He married Betty Jandt on Nov. 24, 1951, in Springfield.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946. He also worked for Southern Pacific Railroad for 36 years.

JUNCTION CITY - A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, at St. Helen Catholic Church in Junction City for Rosilyn R. Zemba of Junction City, who died March 29 of age-related causes. She was 83. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
She was born Nov. 28, 1928, in Washingtonville, Ohio, to James and Alma Cole Tiernan. She married Jim Zemba on Feb. 19, 1955, in Bedford, Ohio. He died May 1, 2004.
She graduated from Braceville High School in Ohio. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include three sons, Jim, Tom and Mark, all of Junction City; two daughters, Jean of Junction City and Rose English of Eugene; a sister, Dorothy Stem of Winter Haven, Fla.; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
