The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, at First Nazarene Church in Eugene for Esther Frances Leach of Eugene, who died Oct. 3 of age-related causes at age 85. Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 6, at Musgrove Family Mortuary.
Private burial will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
She was born Feb. 20, 1924, in Dayton, Ohio, to Paul and Leane Bond Kendall.
She married David Leach on Dec. 15, 1944, in Dayton.
She received a bachelor's degree from Olivet Nazarene College. She was a schoolteacher and homemaker.
Survivors include her husband; four sons, Stuart of Bellville, Ill., Greg of Eugene, Brian of Orland, Calif., and Rob of Bennett, Colo.; a daugther, Cathy Knowles of Bartonville, Ill.; two sisters, Eunice Bryant of Lee's Summit, Mo., and Lois Blanchard Eades of Memphis, Tenn.; and 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Fern Weber
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, at West-Lawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Eugene for Fern Weber of Eugene, who died Oct. 2 of age-related causes at age 92.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the memorial park.
She was born Sept. 8, 1917, in Frederick, Okla., to Claude and Nellie Pope Barbee.
She married Ralph M. Weber. They later divorced.
She was a 1935 graduate of Junction City High School.
She retired after 30 years with Pacific Northwest Bell.
Survivors include a daughter, Sherry Sweeten of Eugene; a son, Michael of Silverdale, Wash.; and three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
