Byline: The Register-Guard

Christi Sahlin

A celebration of life will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, at Community of Christ, 1485 Gilham Road, for Christi Elaine Sahlin of Springfield, who died Sept. 18 of cancer. She was 64.

She was born July 8, 1945, in Vancouver, Wash., to Joy and Opal Wahl Varner, and adopted by Harold and Leona Carpenter. She married James Sahlin in 1979 in Tarkio, Mo.

She worked in accounts payable for the Bi-Mart Corp. in Eugene.

Survivors include three daughters, Tamera Karlstrom of Colorado, Audra Karlstrom of Minnesota and Tina Trenary of Springfield; numerous siblings including two sisters, Ella Gandy of Salem and Rose Varner of Vancouver; and six grandchildren. Her husband and a daughter, Carissa Sahlin, died previously.
