A memorial potluck will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 22, at 1535 Hemlock St. in Eugene for Dorothy "Dottie" Stone of Eugene, who died March 16 of cancer at age 82.
She was born May 18, 1924, in Hamilton, Ohio, to Joseph and Cora Nelson Duvall. She married Merle Stone on March 9, 1942, in Pomona, Calif. He died Sept. 11, 2003.
She worked as a B-49 riveter in World War II and was a homemaker.
Survivors include three sons, Richard Stone of Eugene, George Stone of Westport and John Stone of Pomona; two daughters, Mary Van Kueren of Harrisburg and Nancy De Anda of San Dimas, Calif.; a sister, Katherine Hotard of Upland, Calif.; 18 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Two daughters, Merleen Stone and Paulette Bowman, and three grandchildren died previously.
Inurnment will be at West Lawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Eugene, which is in charge of arrangements. Remembrances to the American Cancer Society.
SPRINGFIELD - Jaimie Daniel Boyd of Springfield died March 15 of cirrhosis of the liver at age 53. No service is planned.
Boyd was born Feb. 18, 1954, in Inglewood, Calif., to Keith and Jacqueline Zanon Boyd. He worked as a chef and kitchen manager in restaurants in Oregon and Missouri.
Survivors include his mother of Springfield; a son, Josh of Klamath Falls; two daughters, Bethany Boyd of Springfield, Mo., and Staci Marie Boyd of Klamath Falls; a brother, Tim of Springfield; and two sisters, Crystal Baker of Springfield and Grace Marie Steele of Monroe, Wash.
