Darlene Louise Gage of Eugene died Nov. 27 of pancreatic cancer. She was 74. No service is planned.
She was born Jan. 23, 1938, in Waltz, Mich., to Walter and Emma Hintz Kamin.
She graduated from Huron High School in Huron, Mich., in 1956.
She held a nursing degree at Highland Park School of Nursing in Michigan. She later returned to school and earned an associate of arts degree in Southern California. She worked as a licensed practical nurse before becoming a registered nurse. She worked as a private nurse for Walter Knotts of Knotts Berry Farm. She retired from Sacred Heart Hospital in 1990.
Survivors include a son, Todd of McGrath, Alaska; a daughter, Kim Palmer of Eugene; two brothers, David Kamin of Flagstaff, Ariz., and Alvin Kamin; a sister, Eleanor Kamin; and five grandchildren.

The funeral Mass will be held at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Eugene for Mary Neary of Eugene, who died Dec. 5 at age 83. The family chose not to list the cause of death. A luncheon will follow in the parish center.
She was born Dec. 3, 1929, in Houghton-Le-Spring, County Durham, England, to Michael and Mary Jane O'Shaughnessy Neary.
She completed 11-plus years of schooling in England and attended classes at Portland State University. She worked for Lishman's for two years, worked at Geico Insurance Co. until 1962 and retired as senior underwriter for United Pacific Insurance Co. in 1988. She also taught insurance classes at Lane Community College.
Survivors include a brother, James of Chester-Le-Street, County Durham, England; and two sisters, Catherin Davenport of Eugene and Ellen Edwards of Wingate, County Durham, England.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, at Major Family Funeral Home in Springfield for Frances Nugent of Eugene, who died Dec. 5 of age-related causes. She was 96. Visitation will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Major Family Funeral Home in Springfield. A luncheon will follow the funeral at Springfield Lutheran Church.
She was born July 6, 1916, in Ambrose, N.D., to Paul and Elsie Thom Leutsch. She married Lyle Nugent on Oct. 5, 1957, in Reno, Nev. He died in October 1994.
She was the manager, cook and waitress at the Hult Plaza Coffee Shop.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth of Dallas, Ore.; a daughter, Linda of Springfield; a sister, Helen Patton of Yakima, Wash.; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. A son, Ronald, died previously.
Burial will be at Springfield Memorial Gardens. Remembrances to the American Diabetes Association.
