Adam Clark

Adam L. Clark of Eugene died May 31 of medical conditions stemming from military service. He was 31. Private services were held.

He was born March 10, 1981, in Eugene to David and Helen Salveson Clark. He married Brandi Johnson on June 12, 2004, in Springfield.

He was a 1999 graduate of Cottage Grove High School. He was attending Colorado Technical University, majoring in psychology. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Survivors include his wife; his mother, Helen Clark of Eugene; his father, Dave Clark of Cottage Grove; three sons, Anthony, Zachary and Jaycob, all of Eugene; a daughter, Haylee Clark of Eugene; and a sister, Trina Clark of Eugene.

Private burial was held at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.

Jennifer Evans

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 30, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 777 Coburg Road in Eugene, for Jennifer Evans of Eugene, who died June 21 of lung cancer. She was 50.

She was born Nov. 24, 1961, in Eugene, to John and Clara "Honey" Evans. She married Cabell William Robertson in Eugene. They later divorced.

She graduated from Sheldon High School in 1980. She attended Oregon State University for a year, then moved to Baltimore to take care of her grandfather.

She earned her associates degree as a radiologic technician at Essex College in Maryland and worked as a radiology technician.

Survivors include her fiance, Hector Flores; her mother, of Eugene; a son, John William Robertson of Eugene; a daughter, Laura Elizabeth Robertson of Eugene; two brothers, John of Portland, and David of Sacramento, Calif.; three sisters, Nancy Wilson of Vacaville, Calif., Susan Grabe of Portland, and Laura of Wales, Alaska.

Sarah Weiershauser

Sarah "Alex" Weiershauser of Eugene died June 18 at age 26. The family chose not to list the cause of death.

She was born June 19, 1985, in Roseburg, to Thomas and Kathy Mansfield Weierhauser.

She attended Pleasant Hill High School. She was a caregiver and a teacher's aide.

Survivors include her parents of Springfield; her grandmother, Jean Mansfield; a brother, Levi Weierhauser of Fullerton, Calif.; and a sister, Caitlin Weierhauser of San Francisco. She was preceded in death by her mother, Kathy Weierhauser.

Laurence Wood

SPRINGFIELD - A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, at Lane Memorial Gardens in Eugene for Laurence Paul "Larry" Wood of Springfield, who died June 21 of brain tumor.

He was 83.

He was born April 29, 1929, in Seattle.

He worked for the forest service.

Survivors include his wife.

Shawnta Leaming-Olson

VENETA - A visitation will be held at noon Thursday, June 28, at Majors Funeral Home at 112 A St. in Springfield, for Shawnta Leaming-Olson of Veneta, who died June 17.

She was 12 years old. The family chose not to list the cause of death.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 29, at Oak Hills Cemetery.

She was born July 31, 1999, in Eugene to Joe Olson and Genni Walker Leaming.

Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Brandon Walker; her father and stepmother, Debbie Olson; her grandparents Bruce Peterson, Nancy Leaming and Dorothy Olson; four brothers, Jarith Freeman of Portland; Joshua Olson of Veneta, Travis Olson of Veneta, and Tausha Boman of Eugene; three sisters, Kaylen Leaming of Eugene, Adara Walker of Springfield, and Alysa Walker of Springfield.

Viola Sears

Viola Pearl Sears of Eugene, died June 15 of aspirational pneumonia. She was 94. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 2, at First Congregational Church, 1050 E. 23rd Ave. in Eugene.

She was born May 6, 1918, in Taylor, Neb., to John and Luella Fales Moninger.

She married Hubert Sears on Feb. 20, 1938 in Chase County, Neb. He died in 1991.

She graduated from Millburn High School in Nebraska in 1936. She worked in customer service at Sears Roebuck and was a homemaker. She was also a long-time volunteer for many local organizations including university, community and welfare activities.

Survivors include a son, Loren of Eugene; a daughter, Judith Allen of Clackamas; a brother, Everett Moninger of Merna, Neb.; three sisters, Evelyn Olson of Merna, Neb., Jane Killion of Nebraska and Verdina Maggart of Nebraska; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
